Have you ever run out of pumpkin pie spice at a crucial time when you are just about to bake?  Well, I did, and quickly made my own.  This is a useful recipe to have around just in case, besides it is probably more economical as well.

3 tbsp ground cinnamon (45 mL)
3 tsp ground ginger (15 mL)
1 tsp ground nutmeg (5 mL)
1 tsp ground allspice (5 mL)
1 tsp ground cloves (5 mL) 

In small bowl, combine all ingredients and whisk together.  Place in an airtight container.  Keep at room temperature but for longer storage place in the freezer.

Yield:  15 servings
1 tsp (5 mL) per serving
7.1 calories
0.1 g protein
0.2 g fat
0.5 g fiber
1.3 g net carbs
