NO-BAKE BROWNIE PROTEIN BITES

Want some easy protein that tastes like dessert or reminiscent of an ooey gooey brownie? This recipe which makes moist brownie-like bites could fit the bill very nicely.  Super easy and quick to make, you will turn to this recipe time and again when you want to increase your protein intake with ease.

There is no flour or almond flour in this recipe as it is more of a confection than a true brownie.  Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator or fridge as I call it or for longer storage in the freezer.

You can use chocolate protein powder in these brownie bites for a deeper chocolate flavor.  It is not quite a dark chocolate especially if using vanilla whey protein powder.  Use your favorite protein powder.

You can use sugarless semi-sweet chocolate chips in these if desired.  Mini chocolate chips would also work for this healthy snack.  There is no nut butter in this sweet treat with wholesome ingredients.  The sweetness makes this a great after dinner snack for an extra protein boost and to satiate the sweet tooth with these simple ingredients.  These healthy protein brownies could benefit from a little pure vanilla extract.  These will be too soft at room temperature.

14.5 grams of protein per brownie protein bite is a hefty amount of protein.  Sometimes it is not easy to meet our protein requirements for the day, especially as we age.  It is important to meet these requirements to preserve muscle mass and strength.  No bake protein brownie bites have a place in our diet.  No bake treat is something we can all wrap our minds around.  You have to find the kind of protein powder that tastes good to you.
